Ayade Dedicates Victory To God, Cross Riverians, Extend Hand Of Fellowship To Agi

Governor Ben Ayade
Cross River State governor, Senator Ben Ayade, yesterday dedicated his Friday victory at the Abuja Federal High Court to God and the good people of the state.

Governor Ayade who said this shortly after he was cleared of any wrongdoing by Justice Abdul Kafarati of the Federal High Court, Abuja, disclosed that the ruling offered everyone in the state the opportunity to join hands to deliver on his administration’s signature projects.
While thanking God for divine favour, he expressed his gratitude to the people of the state for their prayers, love and solidarity
In a show of magnanimity in victory, Ayade extended a hand of fellowship to Mr. Joe Agi (SAN), who instituted the case against him.
According to Governor Ayade, “As far as the ruling of the Federal High Court is concerned, there is no victor and no vanquished. It was purely democracy in action and it is all part of the process to deepen our democracy.”
Continuing, the governor said: “The winners in all of this are the people of Cross River State and God who gives wisdom and understanding to rule over people. It is for this reason that I am dedicating the victory to God and to the people. It is not my victory, it is a victory made possible by God for the people of Cross River State.”
He implored everyone irrespective of political leanings to team up with him for the onerous task of advancing the growth of the state.
“I am appealing to every Cross Riverian, including my brother, Joe Agi (SAN) to join hands with me so that together, we can collectively move our state forward. It is not a job for one man alone, we need one another if we are to develop as a state.”
Mr. Agi had dragged Ayade before the Federal High Court, Abuja, seeking the latter’s disqualification in the April 11, governorship poll for alleged failure to comply with some of the PDP’s guidelines for participation in the governorship primary.
